Bloody hell, is it a prerequisite that you have to be a thug to be a firearms officer in Cumbria Constabulary? I imagined you’d have all sorts of psychological flimflammery to go through to make sure you weren’t a strutting cock chicken scrapping thug before getting to be a firearms officer. Seemingly not. Or the tester has his chart the wrong way up or something.

A police officer has left the Cumbrian force after he was arrested for assaulting a sergeant on a police night out.

Former PC Craig McAllister was arrested on suspicion of assault following a brawl in the Vine Hotel in Whitehaven on December 16.

He was suspended after the incident, said to have occurred when the other policeman intervened in a dispute between Mr McAllister and a female officer. He was later cautioned and resigned on Thursday.

The victim, described at the time as a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries.

The News & Star can reveal that it was the second time the officer was arrested after he was alleged to be involved in a fracas at a pub in Durham.

He was one of two officers from Cumbria who were locked up for public order offences in the Bishop’s Mill pub in Millennium Place in November 2009 after reports of rowdy behaviour and people dancing on tables.

They were part of the force Tactical Support Group, trained to use firearms, who were on a training course.

Pritchard was so outraged at this further slight that he replied: “Mr Speaker, don’t point at me. I am not here to be abused by you.”

Bercow countered: “You will obey the courtesies of the House!”

To which Pritchard replied with the immortal line: “You are not fucking royalty, Mr Speaker!”

The vile little creep Bercow really thinks he’s King Shit, quite why the little bastard was ever returned as Speaker is beyond me.

Sergeant Steve Watson was accused of attacking his police officer girlfriend and assaulting a male police officer he wrongly suspected she was having an affair with, a tribunal has heard.

Sgt Watson – who worked in Cumbria police’s highly-trained tactical support task force based at Ulverston – was said to be “jealous” and “angry” because he thought his girlfriend Police Constable Karen Johnson was having an affair with Police Constable Paul Williams behind his back.

The tribunal heard an accusation that he drunkenly attacked PC Johnson at home, pinning her down and “banging her head on the floor a couple of times”.

In a separate incident during a firearms training exercise, it was said he assaulted PC Williams.

I’d like to think a person prone to this kind of behaviour wouldn’t be allowed a shotgun certificate much less be let loose on our streets with military style weapons supposedly charged with our protection.

David Cameron was accused by campaigners today of breaking the law by cracking an ”appalling” joke comparing Commons Speaker John Bercow to one of the Seven Dwarfs.

A charity which helps people with primordial dwarfism and other forms of restricted growth said the comments were a form of harassment – and called for talks with the Prime Minister.

In a dig at Mr Bercow – believed to be 5ft 6in tall – Mr Cameron said that health minister Simon Burns’s driver had accidentally hit the Speaker’s car while reversing.

When Mr Bercow said he was ”not happy” about the incident, Mr Cameron quipped to journalists at a Westminster lunch yesterday, Mr Burns retorted: ”So which one are you?”.

Bercow is a vile snake, he could be 6’6″ and still be a ”stupid, sanctimonious dwarf”

Any romantic notions that the current regime might be slightly more pro-business than the last bunch of cunts evaporated like morning mist when I read the following:

Employers will not be able to ask people who apply for a job about their health under new equality laws that come into force today.

Staff who are dyslexic, have taken a large number of sick days or who look after disabled and elderly relatives will also find it easier to win unfair dismissal cases under the new law.

….It will be illegal to ask how much time off work a prospective employee has taken.

As if it wasn’t unbelievably difficult enough to get rid of useless employees as it is, now it seems to be illegal to establish if a prospective employee can actually do the job or be relied upon to turn up for work.

Of course this horrible piece of anti-employer legislation was the product of the previous regime but the current twats have failed to kick it into touch.

Today also sees the increase in minimum wage at a time when businesses are under pressure like never before in recent times, another piece of anti-prosperity legislation which has quite the opposite effect of it’s intended purpose. Quite simply minimum wage encourages work to be exported to places where costs are lower, there are no magic higher paid jobs falling like manna from heaven hence those whose only option was these jobs end up on welfare or other make-work schemes.

Meet the new boss, just as anti-prosperity as the old boss.
